What is Norcloud?
Norcloud bridges the gap between odoo.sh and hosting Odoo Community Edition on your own server. It gives Odoo partners and developers one place to build Community Edition instances, show them to prospects, and host them for clients. It also lets you publish your own modules to the wider Odoo community.
Everything on Norcloud starts from a Template: a private Odoo instance you set up once, with the Odoo version, modules and configuration you want. From a Template you can:
- launch Evaluations: disposable, time-limited copies that anyone can try, often from a single short URL;
- launch Hosts: permanent copies that serve as a client's production instance;
- publish it as a Community Vertical, so others can discover and use your industry-specific setup.
Norcloud is itself an Odoo Community application. Every screen is a standard Odoo view, so if you already know your way around Odoo you'll feel at home straight away.

Signing up and logging in
Signing up is standard Odoo, with a few extra fields. You must give your company name: Norcloud creates a company record for you, and you become its main administrator with Norcloud Manager rights. Anyone else from your company can then be added as a user under that company.
You'll need to verify your email address before your first login. The Quick Start Guide covers each sign-up step.
Finding your way around
After logging in you land on Odoo's Discuss screen. Open the app menu (the grid icon, top left) to reach the Norcloud apps.
Each app has its own guide:

| Norcloud Finance | Your eWallet, usage statements, invoices, sales orders, payments, usage reports and wallet top-ups. |
| Norcloud Users and Contacts | Your company's contacts, and the users who can log in to your Norcloud account. |
| Norcloud Backup Management | Backup plans, schedules and history for your instances, and restoring from a backup. |
| Norcloud SSL Certificates | The SSL certificates that secure your Hosts' custom domains, where they're installed, and a log of certificate operations. |
